Du had a birthday… and the birthday dinner was superb.  We went down to have sushi in Nipomo and the restaurant is awesome!  And we got very, very drunk.

More of a Balloon Gathering than Festival, there weren’t all THAT many balloons out.. but it was still cool to go and see.  Maybe next year there will be more. 

 We rolled out of bed at 6am-ish and walked over to the River Oaks ampitheater area (a nice 5 minute walk for us) and some balloons were already in the air, and some were still being inflated.  Its neat to think that all that’s holding the basket up is a mig balloon made of cloth with hot air inside…  its got all the aerodynamics of a brick!

Amanda, John, and Nicholas came this weekend for a visit – it was really good to see them again.  I found out that Nicholas loves plastic hangers and walking up stairs, every kid’s favorite things!
